Few weeks back I was finding some completed anime series to download, and I selected few series that looks interesting to download. One of the series I downloaded is Steins;Gate. Last Monday I had some free time, so I decided to start watching it. Just when I start watching, I got the excited feeling that I don't always have, only happens when I'm very interested in certain anime. The setting and plot of the anime was great, and this genre of anime is exactly what I like to watch the most. So, end up I spend whole day to finish 24+1 episodes. It has 24 episodes, and the extra episodes is an OVA from the DVD/BD.
Here is the plot I copied from Anime News Network, because I'm too lazy to write out myself (the plot here is actually quite brief, it's better to refer to wikipedia's plot or just watch the anime)
Okabe Rintaro is a self-proclaimed "mad scientist" who believes that an international scientific organization named SERN is conspiring to reshape the world according to its own interests. He and his friend Hashida Itaru inadvertently create a gadget able to send messages to the past. The discovery and experimentation of this instrument become the catalyst of fundamental alterations to the present. Okabe is the only one aware of these changes because he possesses a Reading Steiner, the ability to retain the memories from previous experienced timelines. Oblivious of the consequences of their actions, Rintaro and his friends end up creating modifications of grievous proportions. He must then try to find a way to return as close as possible to the original timeline in order to save his precious lab partners. So, as I said, I finished the whole series in a day, 25 episodes x 24 mins = 10 hours. I'm really satisfied with this anime in many way. The setting, story, characters, theme song. The anime ends in a very nice way, unlike some anime that has great story but always end badly. There's one thing in the anime I kinda dislike actually, which is this character called Shiina Mayuri. The seiyuu of this character is Hanazawa Kana, which is a quite famous seiyuu in these recent years, and I kinda like her voice too. However, I really dislike this Mayuri's character in the anime. I guess it's quite difficult to explain why, because I also can't tell why. I highly recommend this anime. My rating is 10/10.
the Opening Theme of the anime: Hacking to the Gate - Itou Kanoko
this video is a fanmade AMV. I didn't post the PV of the song because I like this AMV a lot. watching this AMV is like a flashback of the anime, if you already finish watching.
and here is the Piano version of the song. the guy who play this song is really great. try check out his Youtube channel for other piano cover of anime songs
Yesterday I also saw a news about Steins;Gate movie from theakiba.com
here's some useful link related to the anime, some already available above though.
