Jrock no Tamashii 3 concert

Jrock no Tamashii 3 concert was on last Saturday (1st September). At first I still not sure whether I should go or not, firstly because the ticket was quite expensive (RM88), secondly because I don't know the artist that came from Japan (HaKU). However, at last I decided to go because my friend said that she can get cheaper ticket for me because his brother's band is also performing in the concert.

Jrock no Tamashii concert is part of the event of Taylor's Asaban Festival 2012. On that morning, I was wondering whether I should go to Taylor's Asaban Festival or not because the event schedule don't have any events that attracts my attention. I wanted to go just for the concert at 7pm, but ended up I went for the event around 2pm. It was my first time going to Taylor's Lakeside Campus, but fortunately I went there without getting lost thanks to Google Map. The campus was so damn big compared to my college, at least like 5 to 7 times larger. The environment there is really good.

So, I bought ticket for Day 1 (RM0) and went in, and it's quite disappointing. The area is quite small, but this is okay for me since it's an event inside college, but the booth available is poor. Almost 100% of the booths there are same with AMG, and even lesser. And yeah, those booths sell bootleg figures. Stage performance, O.M.G... I have no idea what they're performing as those songs are some heavy metal songs, not anime-related songs, not Japanese songs. The first time in anime event I had to put on my headset from beginning till the end to avoid listening the songs. I also participate the Moekana competition by Culture Japan. It's my first time playing though. Seems like knowing Hiragana it's not an advantage, as the romaji is written on the card. I lost, but I got a Moekana card for participating. I meet a friend opening booth in the hall, and as usual, I'm slacking at my friend's booth.

About 4pm, most exhibitors start to pack their booth and leave the hall for concert preparation, but according to schedule it's suppose to be at 5pm. Well, I had no choice but leave and go to have my late lunch at Old Town. After lunch I walk around to have a look at the campus. Many cosplayers still taking photo around the event area.
King Kazuma from Summer Wars

no idea what's that character, maybe just a normal meido

After that I just listen to my phone playlist and sit there till the concert starts. I meet up with my friends before the concert starts. The concert is supposed to start at 7pm, but until 8pm also still not yet start. About 8.20pm only the concert starts. At the starting of the concert, my phone battery straight away died, so no photos during the concert. The first 2 band were totally not my type, as they're some heavy metal band and they seems like not singing Japanese songs too. The 3rd band is getting better, and the 4th band was the best! The 4th band is Mystical Mirage, which my friend's brother is the guitarist of the band (Jimmy). I already decided not to shout and sing during the concert because I'm having serious sore throat and cough, but when they started with 1/3 no Junjou na Kanjou following with D-tecnolife, my voice was gone after the 2 songs. After Mystical Mirage, it's time for the Japanese band, HaKU that came to Malaysia. Another reason I come to the concert is because it's very rare to have Japanese artist and band to come Malaysia to perform. I never heard their songs before, but it's quite nice.

this is the last photo I took before the concert starts
After the concert finished, I'm supposed to be able to take photo and autograph with HaKU band as my ticket is early bird ticket, but I straight went to have my dinner because I'm not really their fans. I went to McDonald's at SS15 with my friends and then go home after eating.

Frankly speaking, I never thought Malaysia band can be that nice (not include the 1st and 2nd band and the band during Taylor's Asaban). Even during AFAMY, the first band that perform was great too. I believe in the future will have more Japanese artist coming to Malaysia to perform as AFA always have anisong concert. This November I'm hoping to go to Singapore for AFA too because got quite many artist that I like! T.M.Revolution, Sphere, LiSA, FLOW and fripSide! Hope I can get a job in this month so that I got money to go... if not... Orz
